WMNF Pledge Drive - We need your support!

Hello everyone! It that time o’ the year again… The WMNF Pledge Drive!

If you don’t already know, Alastair and Jerrad host the Pre-Dawn alternatives show (called Grand National Championships) from 4am-6am every Tuesday morning on WMNF 88.5 FM. We play a mix of alt rock, a bit of dancy stuff, and some classic R&B for a li’l bit o’ flava. With boatloads of new music, our particular brand of witty banter, and a (disgruntled) talking robot, what’s not to like? We’ve received a lot of positive feedback for the show over the past year, but now we have to prove it…

We, and WMNF, strive to bring you the widest variety of commercial-free music on the air, including artists you won’t EVER hear on commercial radio. Commercial free. Let me say it again… Commercial free!!! But it’s only possible with your support…

This year, we have been given the modest goal of raising $700 for our show…which is pretty modest compared to the higher profile shows that have goals in upwards of $10,000. We can do it!!! But only with your help and generosity….

There are a couple of ways to donate…

1. Call into our show! Of course, this may prove difficult for anyone on a normal schedule, as we go on at 4am Tuesdays. If you happen to be up this Tuesday that early, give a call! We’ll trade requests for donations! Or, you can call now - 813-238-8001 or 813-239-9663 and a friendly WMNF volunteer will guide you through the process.

2. Go to https://www.wmnf.org/donations/new . You can make one-time contributions here, in any amount. Also, there are “thank you” gifts available for certain donation amounts… t-shirts, tote bags, concert tickets, CD’s, etc. The list on this page doesn’t list ALL of the gifts available…so if you’re looking for something in particular, check with us. Maybe we've got it!

We will thank you on the air, if you wish. Be immortalized on the airwaves!!!

IMPORTANT - Make sure, whether you call in or donate on the site, that you indicate that your donation is for the “Tuesday Pre-Dawn Alternatives Show”, so we get the proper credit for your generosity. On the site, you can add that into the “comments” section on the donation page.

Remember, we are all volunteers, and ALL of the proceeds go to maintaining the facility and radio equipment, helping the music library grow and stay up-to-date, producing news and public affairs programming, and to organize community events, such as exclusive concerts and local festivities.

Oh, and did I mention that WMNF is a section 501(c)3 charitable organization? That means all gifts and donations are tax deductible in accordance with the law. Yowza! What a bonus!

Donate as little or as much as you want…every bit helps! Thank you for listening and your ever-appreciated support!!!

P.S. – Forward this to anyone and everyone you know who’s a fan of music and/or likes to give back to the community. Awe heck, forward it to everyone you know!!!

P.P.S. – You may get another “reminder” from us or grandnationalchamps@yahoo.com before the pledge drive is over… we are nothing, if not tenacious. =)
