Oh'n and Glowin' 8.7.07

This is possibly DRM's tape echo -

Aaron Schultz is DRM, former Tampa resident and co-founder of the Brooklyn down-tempo label Bastard Jazz, home of much New York Lounge Around And Look Real Chill In Fur Coats music. He will be in town on Sunday August 12th, manning the decks at the New World Brewery in Ybor City with labelmate Paul Digs and local crew Positive Response. Once upon a time, Alastair did a radio show with Aaron at USF on the student-run WBUL, and owes some measure of his love for hot beats to Mr. Schultz. Come out and show love to this Local Boy Done Good. If you need any further incentive, the first 50 paying customers get an exclusive mix CD, and various vinyls will be given away throughout the night, hopefully handed gently over and not hurled, frisbee-like, into an unsuspecting crowd.

In other show news, GNC-favorites Centro-Matic will be at Crowbar on Saturday August 18th in support of Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, and on August 25th at Skipper's Smokehouse, Giddy-Up Helicopter, Roppongi's Ace, The Vodkanauts, The Ditchflowers, and Poetry 'n Lotion will be playing WMNF's Listener's Choice Show

Also, how's about The Apples in Stereo coming to town at the end of September? I believe MC Hammer put it best when he said, "Propa."

Because Alastair is having such a fun time with the Deerhunter album that he just bought, having lost the copy he previously had, here is their video for "Strange Lights".

"My God, it's full of dorks."
